Remove Images from Categories

I do not want category images appearing and I have tried to remove the code from the themes category_php but the code is different to the answer in an old question I found.

Can you please tell me how to do this?

I tried to set a categories page up statically...to bypass the format that won't allow me to not display the category image. I would prefer the dynamic use of the category listing, but need to get rid of the default image...no image needed at all. See this link: staging4.animatedlightingaccessories.com/more-categories
