Exporting and Importing Categories was created by Jono
Hi,
We need to migrate the eshop categories of a client from one web site to the other.
Eshop has an export function built in - but it leaves out the category_path
I am using Eshop Import Pro to import the categories - but without the category_path it would be chaos.
What should I do?

Hello Enoch,
In this case, you should upgrade EShop on both of website to the latest version, then go to the database managers of old site to export all of tables of EShop and import it into new site.
This is the easiest way I think.
Sincerely, Giang

Hello Giang
We are trying a new install of Eshop and currently have an x-cart 4 shop that we would like to import the categories from, so the above database method will not work for us.
There are nearly 300 categories and we need to know how to nest them for importing. We have the csv pro plugin.
Best wished Bob

Hello Bob White,
That's no problem. I hope that you figured it out by yourself.
Sincerely, Giang
