I have just noticed that in the latest version of eshop Guests can now download ebook products. In the past only registered customers could download products. This meant they could login and go to their account and access the download file. The problem is that now "guests" can buy a download file, but the email message that's generated: Guest Notification Email With Downloadable Products does not have an available tag called "Download Link". I am having customers emailing saying they cannot find how to download and when I check they are not registered as a user - which would not have happened in previous versions......
Ok I think I have this worked out - when the order is offline payment, status has to be changed from Pending to Complete in Admin area, then the "Order Status Change - Guest Notification Email" email is sent out that has the link (only you cannot see this link in Messages page). They have only one option to access the download file and that is from the change of status email link. So the system works, just have to remember to change the status to complete...
