How to prevent international orders was created by robert de Wild
how can I disable or prevent orders from being placed outside of the US?

So you meant that if customer is outside of the US, they can still view your site, can still view products but they can not place orders from your site?

Yes, that is correct. Everybody should be able to view the website but based on the nature of the product we can not ship to international customers. That is why we need to prevent international customers (outside the US) from placing an order.

Hello Robert,
Then you can unpublish all of international countries from the Countries Management in EShop. Customer can only pass to steps 2 & 3 of checkout if they choose US (the only country on the list).
