Product Details only viewable by registered users

Hope all is well!

Is it possible to set the product details for a product to only be viewable by someone that is logged in?

I want the public to see the products, but not the details. Once you are logged in, you can view the details of each product.

OR if this is not possible, I can probably make 2 menu links
- one for registered users where they can view the products and the details;
- and one for the public (I will create another category, one where I have a seperate set of products with no details).

But before I do the double set of work, I just want to make sure that the first option is not possible...

The first option is not supported now. You can only implemented it by using the second option.

Just for interest sake

I created 2 menu links - both linking to the same product catalogue.
First one is set for REGISTERED group & Second one for GUESTS. Now whenever one clicks on the second link, it shows the products in the category, BUT when you click on a product to view it, it asks you to first log in to view the details.

Weird, but exactly what I wanted to happen
