Server media browser was created by AndrewM
I'm just getting going with eShop. I've set up manufacturers, and am working on categories. In both cases, the New function data tab lets me add an image. But it only allows me to add an image from my computer with Browse and upload. I prefer to batch process my images offline, then upload them to the site with FTP. Is there a way to use the Joomla media browser or equivalent to access images on the server?

Hello Andrew,
I am sorry but this feature is not supported now. You can only upload image for each category/manufacturer when edit it.
Sincerely, Giang

This is critically important. I need this also. In our case, different people add products to store. Not sure how to manage media library if images are provided by each user who updates. Can you please think about how eShop can access joomla image manager.
Actually - how do you import a large amount of products + images without access to joomla media manager?

Hello Reema,
We have EShop CSV Advanced tool to allow you to import products + images into the EShop from CSV file. You can read more about it here: joomdonation.com/add-ons/eshop-add-ons/eshop-csv-advanced.html

Hi - yes thanks - I purchased this. The categories are importing fine, I guess the questions are:
What folder do the images get loaded into? +
Can I categorize the images into sub-folders? - and then put that path into the csv spreadsheet?
For example: category1/productX.jpg; category2/productY.jpg
Thanks in advance.

Hello Reema,
Images of categories are putted into folder media/com_eshop/categories
In the CSV file, you just need to put the name of images there.
Sincerely, Giang
