Just curious if there's an option to turn on captcha for ask a question for products? I cant seem to find it.

I am sorry but currently, the Ask a question for products does not support captcha.

"If set to Yes, captcha security image will be displayed on the final step of checkout page to prevent spam"

I cant see it in the end, but i do see it on writing a review.

Hello Magnus,

That maybe because you didn't enable captcha for the checkout of EShop. Please go to EShop -> System -> Configuration -> Option tab, at Checkout Captcha, choose Yes.
