SMTP connect failed

SMTP connect failed was created by Howard Theriot
I am testing my first EShop site and I get the following notice when trying to confirm an order…

Notice SMTP connect failed


I have "New Order Alert Mail:" set to "Yes" at EShop > System > Configuration > Mail

It works fine if I change Joomla configuration to PHP Mail, but I need to use SMTP.

I am not having SMTP problems with other components such as user registration, ChronoForms, etc.

Hello Howard,
This sound like a strange issue. If the SMTP email works at the user registration, then it should also work under my EShop extension. Can you please re-test it?
If it still not work, please submit a new ticket to EShop category to send me the your site information so I can help you to check that.
