Hi, I am new to Eshop.
In the Eshop sample data, I inadvertantly opened and saved two tabs of the Cameras category after adding two different translations in De & Fr (see Attach). The attachment shows the duplicate category as it currently appears on the De page. Notice that the En view does not exhibit any duplicate. The Fr version is similar to the De.
This mistake probably can be cured by re-loading the sample data. Should this happen again with real data however, how would I go about fixing such an error? Deleting category "cameras" would erase all subcategories I suppose. Is there a better solution?

What do you mean for duplicated category? I am seeing different categories (Fotoapparate, Fotografieapparate, Komponenten) in your DE language. Please explain more about the problem that you had so I can help.

Here are more details. I looked at a SQL dump of table eshop_categorydetails and verified that the FR/DE camera category duplicates ([23],[24]) do appear prior to the legitimate translations (ie last entered records): [25] appareils photo, [26] Fotografieapparate.
Unfortunately, the first entered categories ([23],[24]) won't show up in the back-end categroy menu and thus cannot be erased. Should those records be deleted manually at the table level?

For those interested by this issue, I went ahead by deleting the duplicate records via PhpMyAdmin. This cured the problem.

I think this is an outstanding issue which caused by adding wrong data before and after you install additional languages.
