Availability through options. was created by stratos
Hello Giang
Is the Availability field auto updated through the options? Here is my issue:
I have one product in 2 different options. The first one i keep in stock, but the second one not.
In the options i put quantity (e.g 100) to the first one, and nothing to the second.
But in the front-end when u make an option selection, the availability doesn't change accordingly.
Could you please help to explain what am i doing wrong?

Hi again Stratos,
The option quantity is only updated if customers completed their order. Also, each option has their own quantity per each product, you must enter quantity for all options. They are independent.
Sincerely, Giang

So what you're saying here is that the "Available Options" is going to give the default "2-3 days, In Stock, Out-of-Stock, or Pre-Order" statuses regardless if the admin places an "Availability Date" in the [Available date] field of the Edit Products page?
So then, what is the point of the Availability Date if it does not show up on the Product Detail Page?

Hello Asar,
1. Available Options is the part for Product Options in EShop. You can check Product Options for EShop here: eshopdocs.joomservices.com/catalog/produ...h2-4-product-options
2. The Availability is for showing quantity of product in the store or showing Out of Stock status of product.
Sincerely, Giang

This problem is still not solved, and it is the main reason i don't use Eshop although i purchased it few month ago.
The "availability" field should be displayed dynamically according to the option chosen by the customer, the same way like price automatically changes. There is no way to tell the customer that one product has not all the options in stock, unless the customer adds it to cart and get the final notification during checkout, which is absolutely not convenient.

Hello Stratos,
Seem you are correct. When customer choose an option, I should update the Availability of product like price dynamically change. I will work to add this feature into EShop soon. Please keep track the update.

I would like to see this feature added as well. The current method is very inconvenient. You should have more options to dynamically set the stock status for different items. Just in stock or not in stock is definitely not enough.

Giang,
I would also like to see this feature implemented. I'd really like for the ability to add quantities to options. Please view the attached image for an example.
Best regards,
Jason Vuu
