Help on shipping methods was created by Woony Danny
Hi, the documentation on shipping methods is very basic.
How do i setup shipping methods based on weight.
so i sell a shirt and it weighs 0.48kg
i can post 0.5kg for $10 and up to 3kg for $15
how do I configure it such that if someone buys 3 shirts it knows that it weighs 1.44kg and only shows them the option for the 3kg shipping for $15? (and not the lighter 0.5kg shipping option)
if someone only buys 1 shirt then because it only weighs 0.48kg the option that shows for them is the 0.5kg $10 option (i guess it wouldnt be an issue if it also shows the more expensive 3kg option as well).

Hello Woony,
To be able to setup this, you just need to use default Weight Shipping plugin. Following are how to enter Rates for your example:
1|0.48;10|3;15
So this setting is for geozone which has ID = 1:
+ If weight <= 0.48Kg, then shipping cost = $10
+ If 0.48Kg < weight <= 3Kg, then shipping cost = $15
Does it make sense?
Sincerely, Giang

I posted on another thread about this. I should have looked just a bit further because this answers my question about setting up shipping by weight for zones. Thank you!
