Pictures not displaying

Hi,
I've just purchased eshop and none of the pictures are displaying? I've tried changing them and uploading new ones. The URL points to a resized folder and if I create that file manually and add it the picture displays properly. I'm on the latest version of eshop on Joomla 3.6.4. It's more that certain this is my lack of knowledge.
