How to change ordering of items in EShop

To be able to change ordering of items in EShop, you need to click on header of order column to active it first (look at attached image). After that, you will be able to change ordering of items by:

1. Clicking on Up or Down icons
2. Entering the ordering value in each text box and click on Save icon in the header of order column to save.

This does not always work. I realize sorting/ordering only works when you are looking at ALL of the products. If I sort by category, for example, show all items from category #1, CBA, I cannot resort to ABC, unless i look at all items in all categories in which case I have to sort through hundreds of items from various categories. Very cumbersome and not practical. Am I missing something here?

We have a similar issue. We have EShop ver 2.5.5 & Joomla 3.7.1 .

Under Catalog>Products I can sort by the product ID column, but there is not an Order column as with earlier versions (see attached screen shot). I checked the online manual, it also shows an Order column as well.

How do I change the order of products now?

Based on the image you've attached, you can click on the far left top icon (up/down triangles) which will turn the three grey dots to the left of the line items, black and allow you to sort by clicking on those dots and dragging. Thats a joomla style feature, rather than a component feature. I think I'll upgrade now that I see how the newer version works....

My guide here was for very old version of EShop. In the newer version, EShop has order/sort options work as Joomla 3.x standard. So you just need to active the order column, then you can drag/drop items to change their order.

@Sarah: Please update EShop to the latest version 2.5.5 so you will see.
