Setting Edocman filters in smart search was created by Techmistress
Hello -
I am using Joomla 6.1.1, edocman and pdfindexer (docindexer)
I am not able to create a filter in smart search for just edocument documents. I was able to do this on another site using phocadownload and pdfindexer.
I am not using the indexer plugin, but the pdf indexer component. I want to be able to index EDocuments, then use smart search with a filter to search only EDocuments.
Any guidance would be appreciated!

Hello,
Thank you for your message.
Please follow the steps below to index and search EDocman documents using Joomla Smart Search:
1. First, go to PDF Indexer and choose Index Documents.
2. In the integration option, please select com_edocman.
3. After the document indexing process is completed, enable the plugin: Joomla Smart Search - EDocman. Please make sure not to enable the Smart Search plugin from Documents Indexer.
4. Next, go to the Joomla Finder / Smart Search component and run the indexing process there.
After this step, the data containing the PDF file content from EDocman will be read and analyzed by Joomla Finder. It will then be available for searching from the frontend using Joomla Smart Search.
Thanks
Dam
