Modifying download statistics was created by derekkoopowitz
For some reason, when modifying the document title or changing the text in the short description, the download counts get reset to zero. I've been able to modify the download count on these files in the past to the actual number of downloads but when I tried today, the number just gets reset to 0 and the new download number does not get stored.
I just installed the latest eDocman that was released - v3.7.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hi,
You can edit the number of downloads for a document when editing the document in the backend, under the Publishing tab.
Normally, when you update the document title or short description, the document download count should not be reset.
If you are experiencing this unusual issue, please submit a ticket under the EDocman category and provide your site information together with a super admin account. We will then investigate the problem for you.
Thanks
Dam

Thanks for the reply, Dam. I've been trying to update the number of downloads in the backend under the publishing tab - it doesn't work. I'll put in a support ticket.

Hi,
The Downloads value of the document is being reset to 0 because you have enabled the configuration option:
“Reset Download Logs When Document Is Updated”
Please disable this option so that the document download count will not be reset after you save/update the document.
Regards,
Dam
