Search result including text

Hi,
On my test website after the Edocman update to 3.0, I deleted all previously imported documents and started from scratch, with the Edocman import plugin disabled. Searching through these documents  I notice a difference with the live website search results  , namely that the added text with the result is gone on my test website.
Please advice. Thank you.

You need to clear existing indexes in Joomla Smart Search before running Index in that component again to see the update.

Hi,
In an earlier Topic I explained that due to a not available Smart search plugin for Virtuemart, we still fully rely on the traditional Joomla Search module and the Edocman Serarch plugin.
I continued searching for an explanation and took the following steps.
1. In Edocman 3.0, I took a older Joomla Backup (based on Edocman 2.2) and installed it on our test website. All the search results showed text included.
2. I used a small category (Midwinterpraot) with just 8 documents, deleted one of the documents (Midwinterpraot 1999) and added this document via batch upload again to this category.
3.It is available and indexed although the document name is different (it has .pdf added) from the other documents.
4. In the Search results this document is shown without text   , so identical to the situation I started this Topic with.
Please advice.
By the way, the duplication still exists   , despite the disabling of the Edocman import plugin.

I’m afraid I haven’t fully understood the issue you described yet. To clarify, are you currently using Joomla Smart Search for your searches?

Hi,
No. We never have been able to use Smart Searching for our complete website. Virtuemart is for us an important extension and there is no Smart Search for Virtuemart. Hence we use still the Joomla Search module as well as the Search Edocman. So far this has not been a serious limitation.
