Look for document for the name

Hi everyone. I'll explain the problem. We must make available to our customers a series of documents that are renamed with code and number of lot of the article to which they refer. We will need the research to be addressed only by looking for the number of lot, leaving out the article code. How should I behave? I have to rename the files with only the number of lot or is it possible to make the search for a word contained in the name of the file (in this case the number of lot?). Thank you.

Could you please clarify the following points:
- Where will your customers be searching for these documents (on a website, through Edocman)?
- Is it important to distinguish between different article codes, or do you only need to focus on the lot numbers?

If possible, could you provide an example of a file name or describe how your customers would typically search for a document?

Hi Dam and thanks for the reply.
We purchased Edocman and are configuring the space within our Joomla space, where customers will go looking for the documents. We would like if it was possible to be able to directly look for the number of lot, leaving out the commercial name of the article.
I give you an example: the files are all renamed by our software in the following way,
Item name Lotto number 
CDF1840 CA528435 
CDF1840 CA528536 
CDF1840 CA526421 
CDF1841 CA524132

For practicality we would like to be able to seek only the number of lot, so as to limit the search, because the lot of lot is unique, while for the noun comerciale more results can come out.
At the moment I believe that by renowning all the documents with the only number of lot could be a solution, but I would like to avoid this job every time chje we generate a document.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to search documents by lot number only in Edocman. The search function will always look through the entire title of the documents, which includes both the item name and the lot number (if the lot number is part of the document title). Therefore, the search results will be based on the full title, and it cannot be limited to just the lot number.
