Peter, I too had the same issue, I posted in the forum. I reverted back to the previous version of Edocman and all is well, thus far. Awaiting a reaction of some sort form Joomdonation.

Thank you for bringing the issue to our attention.
We would like to inform you that the problem you encountered was caused by the Edocman Content Link plugin. Our team has identified and fixed the issue earlier today.
You can now download the latest version of the plugin from the My Downloads section on our website. Please install this updated version to resolve the problem.

Hi all,
Thank you for reaching out. I wanted to clarify that we are not releasing a new version per se, but instead, we are updating directly to Edocman 2.0. This update is a major overhaul with significant improvements and changes. However, we have chosen not to update the version name at this time to reflect these changes.
