expiration date for documents was created by Lutz Kadner
In eDocman, I can set an expiration date for documents, after which the document is automatically depublished and is therefore no longer visible to users. However, eDocman does not offer a direct function for automatically archiving or deleting documents after the expiration date by default. Are there plans to implement this function?

Hi Lutz,
OK, i will think about your idea for future improvement. Maybe we will add configure option in Edocman to change document statuses to Archieved when they are expired.
Thanks
Dam

Hi Mr Dam,
I was going to ask you if this is possible and I found this discussion via google.
I would also like to have an expiry date on edocman documents, ideally :
- a default lifetime (in days), managed in the general configuration
- and a custom lifetime in the document configuration (secondary requirement)
Yes! ‘switching documents to Archived when they've expired’ would be great!
(I'd need to do the same with seller documents too
)
Could you keep us posted, thank you very much!

Hi Mr. Dam,
A document expiration feature would be a great addition!
User Damien is working on a project with a potential customer to sell documents (Documents seller extension) and also make them available (Edocman extension).
This automatic expiration and archiving feature is exactly what he's missing.
Thank you for your interest!
