PDF Indexer PHP 8.2

Hello, does this plugin work with PHP 8.2? Your documentation shows it needs popen enabled but I cannot even find this in the PHP Information of PHP Version 8.2.11 in my Joomla System Information.

I am getting this error message in the Indexed Content tab
/public_html/plugins/edocman/indexer/binaries/linux/pdftotext: Permission denied

Hi Dave,
You just need to change permission of file: /public_html/plugins/edocman/indexer/binaries/linux/pdftotext and try to index content of pdf files to see the result.

My hosting won't let me set this to 777. It's not safe to set file access to this level.

This is the only solution?

Hi Dave,
In plugin parameters form, you can select No in field: Using Popen, then, you can try to index content of documents in your Edocman system to see whether if the problem is solved
