user in two groups was created by robynlingen
I have set up Joomla user groups A, B, and C. Then I set up eDocman categories A, B, and C. Then I assigned Users 1, 2, 3 and 4 to these groups like this.
User 1 is assigned to group A and can access all permissions on Category A.
User 2 is assigned to group B and can access all permissions on Category B.
User 3 is assigned to group C and can access all permissions on Category C.
Everything works great except for user 4, who is assigned to Groups A and B. I would expect User 4 to be able to edit in both groups, but they can't. I had to instead make a group called "Group A & B" and then give viewing access to Group A and Group B. It still didn't work so then I also had to go into EDocman and set permissions on "Group A & B" for all of the Groups.
This works, but boy is it a lot of work because have 25 groups, 25 matching categories, 15 users who each need access to two of the groups, but not all groups. Is there a simpler way to do this? What am I missing? Or do I need to just bite the bullet and make 15 special groups for those 15 users?
I appreciate any and all insite. Thanks!

Hi Roby,
I have thought about your idea, after some testing, i think we only have the solution that you provided. It will need more time to setup it, but we don't have different better solution in this case.
Thanks
Dam

Thanks for giving this some thought. It is working well the way I have it set up. So we're good with that for now.
