EDocman Document Link plugin list doesn't show all docs user has permission for

The EDocman Document Link plugin toolbar button modal popup is only listing documents the current user uploaded themself. It doesn't show the other documents that the user also has permission to view. Can this popup be altered to include all documents this user has permission to for generating a link within the article content? Am I doing something wrong?

Steps to reproduce what I see (using the latest EDocman version 1.19.4:

1. I enable EDocman Document Link plugin in the Plugins area.
   1. Using Link Type: Add Link to View Document.
   2. Using Insert Type: Choose from existing Documents.
2. I edit an article and click the EDocman toolbar button to add a link into the content.
3. Actual results: This modal popup shows only documents that this same user has uploaded, but doesn't display the other documents from the same category that the user has been given permission to view.
4. Desired results: I would like it to show all documents from all categories where the user has individual or group access to the category/document according to the permissions. It would be ideal if the documents were also listed in a way that is organized by the category they are in.

This is the functionality happening when editing an article on the frontend.

Actually, when you open the modal box, Edocman will list all documents that current user has permission to access. Edocman doesn't just list documents that have been uploaded by current logged user only (like you Desired results)

Were you able to successfully get this modal files list to work? My files are all set to inherit the same category permissions and access. I've looked at them and compared them several times. I found that if I change the "Created By" user I can get the files to appear and disappear from the modal popup list.
