EDocman and pdf indexer

I'm thinking of buying EDocman but already have the separate pdf Indexer extension (but it's out of date!).

Can you confirm that if I buy EDocman I will no longer need to use the separate pdf Indexer extension because the one included with EDocman will also index pdfs that are not documents inside EDocman?

Edocman has PDF Indexer plugin, it is used to index content of documents in component. Of course, with PDF Indexer plugin of Edocman, you won't need to have PDF Indexer add-on.
But, the PDF Indexer plugin won't able to be use to index content of documents outside Edocman.

Not sure I entirey understand but I'm about to buy EDocman anyway so I'll be able to try it out for myself.

I have been using pdf Indexer to index pdf newsletters, but I think I should be able to bring them into EDocman, which should make everything easier!

OK Alan, with Edocman, you will able to manage documents easily, not just indexed content of PDF files
