Search Result - direct to document was created by John Kaminski
Thanks for fixing my search results to show the search text and context using Joomla Search instead of Edocman Search, even though it still searches Edocman documents..
However, now when I click on the link in a search result, I am taken to a screen with a lot of information about the document, including links to social groups like Facebook. I would like that when a user clicks on a link, the document opens in his browser directly, like it does in Edocman Search.
Is there a place I can select this option?

Hi John,
Currently, with Joomla Search plugin, we only have option to open document details, not download them
Thanks

Is there a place I can modify the "Documents Details" screen to at least remove the social icons, e.g. Facebook?
John

Hi John,
You can modify "Document details" through file: root -> components -> com_edocman -> view -> document -> tmpl -> default.php
But if you want to hide Social Sharing buttons, please go to Edocman Configuration -> Tab: Themes and disable configure option: "Show social sharing buttons"
Thanks

I looked all over for this and finally found it by directly editing the SQL database. I now feel foolish since it was just where you said under the Themes configuration. Thank you.
