edocman permissions was created by Darren Knipe
hi
I have set a user group (registered) ACL permissions for individual categories to allow edit/delete etc, but it is not respecting this. Only happens if set universal ACL with permissions.
The editable categories are highlighted, but when you click it takes you to home page instead.

Hi Darren,
The (Edit/Delete) ACL setting for each categories are applied to documents of that category.
If you want user to be able to edit/delete categories at frontend, they must have permission to Edit/Delete in Edocman Core ACL, because currently, there aren't any Edit/Delete ACL Setting for specific categories.
Thanks
Dam

but if I set core ACL setting they can edit all categories not just specific group permissions, but your docs say
In Edocman, you can set up a unlimited number of user groups. For each of these groups you can impose create, edit view, download and maintenance permissions, thus controlling who can download what.
and also...
Using the Edocman Group permissions you can easily allow users to moderate certain files and folders right from the front-end area.
