Overrides was created by astrid
I want to create an template overwrite via back end for the category view. I used protostar for this. But the override-file is not created. I see only the folder. I can create the override via copying the files myself. But I wonder, if I make something wrong. I would like to use the back end for this.

Yes.
I realized it via copying over the filesystem. But I like to use the template manager in the back end for this

Hi,
Actually, at Backend, you also can override the layout files. Normally, the template at Backend of Joomla site is: Isis. You can go to folder (creating if they aren't exists) : root -> administrator -> templates -> isis -> html -> com_edocman -> categories and copy file root -> administrator -> components -> com_edocman -> view -> categories -> tmpl -> default.php into that folder for modifying.
Do the same with layout in folder: "category"
Thanks

OK. Thanks for the answer.
So I have to copy the files myself. An automatic copying via the view, which can be seen on the attached image, is not possible. Right?
