Hi,
I recently purchased Edocman. Installation and indexing worked fine as described. The indexed content however does not contain an index but the complete text of the document including unnecessary words like articles or verbs. Therefore the index does not contain the complete document because of the limitations of the text data type in the database (65565 chars).
My questions are:
1. How can I avoid the incomplete index, can you change the data type to "medium text"?
2. Can I provide a list of words which must not be stored in the index?
Thank you and regards
Richard

Hi Richard,
1. You can change the attribute of column: indexed_content in table: #__edocman_documents. This column is used to stored indexed content of documents.
2. Edocman doesn't support feature to prevent words to be stored in indexed content
Thanks
Dam

Hi Dam,
thank you for the quick response. After modifying the type of the column to MEDIUMTEXT and re-indexing of all documents it worked perfectly.
It would be useful to see the date of the last re-indexing in the table of documents.
Regards
Richard
