EDocman + Membership Pro Integration was created by Tadjeddine BACHIR
Hello,
I hope you're doing great.
Is anyone using EDocman with Membership Pro? I'm looking for help regarding giving specific user category access to a certain document category and how to manage subscriptions and documents permissions simultaneously.
If you worked on something similar before please share how you handled it.
Thank you in advance.

Hello
In short, you can use Membership Pro + EDocman ACL to handle this requirement. Basically:
1. You can configure Membership Pro so that when someone subscribes to your subscription plans, they will be assigned to certain Joomla user group like Paid Members
2. Then configure EDocman to allow user from that Paid Members user group to access / download the documents from the category you want
Please look at our membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/resour...ction/use-joomla-acl to understand more about the idea

Thank you, that works fine, but is there a way to give access to users instead of user groups?

Hi,
Unfortunately, currently, Edocman doesn't have feature to assign Download permission for specific user(s).
But it has function to assign user(s) as owners of document. Thus, only they can see documents at frontend of component.
Thanks
Dam
