Index Video and Images was created by emilio
Is there the possibility to index video and images, or at least to enter the indexed data manually, without having to do it in the database?
If I do it in the database it works perfectly, but working directly in the database does not seem like a reliable option, whereas if I could manually edit the index content in the document's file
Thank you

Hi,
Edocman only can index content of PDF, DOC and DOCx files. It's impossible to index content of Video or Image files.
Thanks

good morning
I understand that this possibility does not exist automatically, but is it possible to enter the data manually? I tried it by entering the data in the database (index_content) and it works perfectly, but working in the database would be the last option,
My question is if it is possible to make any changes to manually enter the data in the index content without having to do it directly in the database ?
Saludos

Hi Saludos,
The Indexed content is used to Search document while the content of Images or Video files are strange characters. Why do you want to enter content of Video and Image files?

They are news videos, so it would be interesting to be able to provide indexed information about the content, as well as the images.
These data come from the transcription of the video that is already possible to do it automatically
Un saludo

Hi,
The Indexing work will read the content of physical files, with Image and Video files, we aren't able to read content. If you want to show information about the Image or Video files, why don't you enter those information in field Description of documents?
Thanks
Dam

I do not want users to access this information, it will take me a while to make it presentable for users, while in the other way, they are just keywords that also allow search

There are even pdf files written in old calligraphy that it is not possible to use OCR or automatic indexing, but if it is possible to transcribe and use that information to enter the general search system

How about using the metadata field instead? I have to update my indexed content on most pdf's, I enter directly into database.

Hello
That will be the last option, I have tried it and it works, but some users that could provide documents will not have access to something as sensitive as the database
