Check-in Check-out Documents

I would like to know certain functions are available or not on EDOCMAN Joomla DMS.

1. Does it allow users to check-in or check-out the documents?
Users can lock the documents or unlock it. For example, check-in the file so other users will not be able to do anything on it. Eventually check-out the file so it could be shared to other users again.
2. Does it keep the previous version when user edit the file?
3. Does it supports Full Text Search when using EDocman PDF Indexer plugin?
4. Does the table layout show all files or can it be just each Categories depending which user clicked to view certain Categories documents?
5. Does it support external API so we developers can integrate EDocman with other system?
For example, we take a file with file ID from EDocman and pass to another system and do something about it and after that, we pass it back to EDocman system. Is this possible?

1. Does it allow users to check-in or check-out the documents?
-> The Check-in and Check-out function is only available at Back-end side. Currently, Edocman doesn't have feature to lock the documents at front-end. But the owner can unpublish their documents. And then, the documents will disappear at front-end.
2. Does it keep the previous version when user edit the file?
-> When user edit file, Edocman doesn't keep previous version (before modification)
3. Does it supports Full Text Search when using EDocman PDF Indexer plugin?
-> Yes, Edocman can search Full text search
4. Does the table layout show all files or can it be just each Categories depending which user clicked to view certain Categories documents?
-> The Table layout will only show documents of current Category, it doesn't have feature to show all documents of Edocman system.
5. Does it support external API so we developers can integrate EDocman with other system?
For example, we take a file with file ID from EDocman and pass to another system and do something about it and after that, we pass it back to EDocman system. Is this possible?
-> Unfortunately, Edocman doesn't have this feature.

Is there any suggestion on the check-in check-out function to be third party plugin so we could call this function from another system and sync to EDocman? Can you advise us on how can we customize this feature?
