Unknown column 'tbl.state' in 'order clause'

"Unknown column 'tbl.state' in 'order clause' "
I am getting this error whenever I try to upload a new document using any of
- batch upload
- documents
- frontend article link

When using 'batch upload' it does seem to upload the document even though the error occurs
Any ideas?
