Indexer: bulk import was created by davide
Hello, while we do a bulk import, the indexing is not performed and what we need to do is to go into every single document and click on SAVE so to have the indexing complete. is there any more automatic option to do this action?
thanx

Hi Davide,
In your case, you can use another extension of us: PDF Indexer. It has feature to index content of all documents of Edocman and store them in Edocman database. www.joomdonation.com/joomla-extensions/joomla-pdf-indexer.html
Thanks

Actually we do use also PDF Indexer.
I don't get the procedure.
If I have a folder of pdf ti be imported:
1) Batch Upload
2) Edocman Bulk Import
3) Document Indexer
?
This way does not work!
Thenis there any way to do a folder ricorsive Bulk import ?
thanx

Hi Davide,
PDF indexer doesn't relate to Batch Upload or Bulk import here. After using those tools to import documents to Edocman, you can use PDF indexer to read and store content of pdf files normally.
Thanks

Hello Dam ,
when I do pdf indexer, the documents are not automaticlly searchable with edocman.
I need to resave them one by one to be able to search into their content.
Is there any option to save them all in one?
I need to import and index thousands docs.

Hi Davide,
Remember that in PDF indexer configuration, you need to choose option to integrate with Edocman. In that case, after index content of Edocman documents, data will be stored in Edocman db.
Thanks

Do You mean
Component->Document Indexer->Configuration->Extensions integration ??
it is set to YES.
After indexing the situation I get is this one: (see attach)
As you can see the column "indexed content" stay "red". it goes green ONLY if I enter the document and click on "Save".
any idea?
