File icon with download link using plugin was created by Jip Jonker
Hi! We would like to be able to he filteype icon to a link placed in an articvle using the edocman editor plugin. If we want to do this now we have to add our own class to the link. But it would be great if the plugin added the icon (or at least a class) to the link. Can you make this available?
A link add with the Edocman editor button now looks like:
<a href="/component/edocman/test-document-1/download">Test document 1</a>
Maybe it could be someting like:
<a href="/component/edocman/test-document-1/download" <i class="edicon edicon-file-pdf"></i>>Test document 1</a>
I believe this is what also is used in other parts of eDocman?
Or as an alternative something like this:
<a href="/component/edocman/test-document-1/download" class="pdf">Test document 1</a>
In this case we could add an icon ourself based on the class. Also a good option for us.
And maybe you could add a setting to the editor plugin to indicate if the user want to add the icon or not?
And when you are at it, maybe something similar can bed done with file size and filename?
The we would be able to do something like this:
Icon File-title (PDF, 1.2 Mb)
But also the option to enable/disable these extra's in the plugin.
The file icon is most wanted by us right now. The other additions would be nice.
What do you think?
Kind regards, Jip

Hi,
Currently, the Edocman content link has 3 parameters:
1. Show Document size
2. Download Button style class
3. Download Icon
I will consider to find solution to improve "Edocman content link" it in next Edocman version
Thanks
Dam
