download button opens pdf in _self?

Hi,

wondering if it is possible to have the download button of a file (e.g. .pdf) to open that file in new window / tab.
Currently the popular browsers have pdf support, so when pressing the download button your website is replaced by the pdf reader (taking the user away from your site)

Is it possible to change that behavior? When pressing the download button, open a new tab (or window)?

Great idea - we would like the same thing.

I think that's a great idea. I have it coded at the moment, but would welcome that coming as a feature.
