How to integrate tag systems

Hi

I'd like to use the same tags for my docs as for the joomla articles, so the users get all the information when clicking on a tag: articles, weblinks, documents, etc.

I figured out I can simply use the same tags in edocs and add the tag as a search criteria to the smart search plugin. But then I still would have to update tags twice: in Joomla and edocs. Any ideas on how to modify edocs so that I can use the main Joomla tag input feature?

Hi Lone,
Edocman has separated Tags system, it's total different with Tags feature that is using by Content, weblink extension. Currently, the Edocman tags can't be search through Finder extension (Joomla smart search extension). But we will consider to find solution to implement it in future.
