Numerical Ordering was created by Bridge
I have a client with over a hundred documents named, for example, Issue 1 - Fall 1980, Issue 2 - Spring 1981, Issue 3 - Fall 1981, etc. I was thinking that Edocman would work fine because I figured that they would be ordered 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.
They are ordering like this instead: Issue 1, Issue 10, Issue 100, Issue 101, Issue 102, Issue 103, and so on, because of the number 1. Can you think of any way around this, where I could order them numerically? I suppose I could go in and manually order them, but this client will remove and reupload these files yearly so it will be a hassle to manually reorder them every year.
Thoughts?

Hi Bridget,
The document titles is text string, there is no way to sort documents by one number in document titles. But at Back-end > Edocman > Manage Documents, you can manage the Ordering of documents, in Configuration page, select Default ordering documents by field Ordering. In that case, the documents will be shown at front-end with ordering you need.
Thanks
Dam
