edocman - search in pdf ?

So i'm a little confused here.

I'm supposed to be able to search for content inside a PDF file right?

how can i make this work ?
i just uploaded a pdf with some text inside but i cant seach for that text

Hi,
Edocman has the plugin called: plug_edocmanindexer.zip, you need to install and publish this plugin. And then, you can go to the Documents list (at back-end side), and able to click on the "Index" button to read content of PDF documents and store them into database. After that, user will be able to search the content of pdf files at front-end.

Its installed and enabled , but nothing happens when i click the icon under Indexed content ?

tried to add a new document and still won't index.

I also enabled search and smart search in plugin but no luck.

Hi guys, did you repair this issue? I have the same :-( Using Joomla Smart search. Document PDF content correctly indexed (I can see text under "indexed content"), the item also indexed under Smart Search Indexer and document is published (as default), but on front-end i get still no search result, when I use word from indexed content. Only searching by document Title I am succeed.

Hi Supin,
The Joomla Smart search plugin of Edocman will only search through: title, metakey, metadesc and start_date.
