SOLVED !!! Category filter search is too limited

In EDocman 1.7.0 the Category filter search is limited to the selected parent category and that limits the search too much. Is there an option or configuration we can change to have the category filter search against all categories?

In EDocman 1.5.2 the Category filter search did search against all categories.

Here's an example of a category hierarchy:

Category 1
Category 1.1
Category 1.2
Category 2
Category 2.1

In EDocman 1.7.0 if I don't select a parent category and I enter "Category 2.1" in the Category filter search, the filter does not find "Category 2.1". But we need it to. In 1.7.0 the Category filter search will only find "Category 2.1" if I've selected Category 2 as the parent category.

We need a search all categories option for the Category filter.

We've tried EDocman Version 1.7.1, 1.7.2, and 1.7.3 and none of them fix this issue. This is the same problem as mentioned in the "Search Categories in Admin Panel" Forum Topic, post #76001.
