Server Migration: Are there Hard-Coded File Paths?

More

I have just migrated my joomla installation from one server to another, with no issues.

When I view my edocman categories in the front end, the page is blank (no category titles or anything).

I have no problem with reuploading all the files if necessary (I was only using test files before), but I wanted to know if there were any other likely causes for this.

The following is true:
  • Old server was apache, this server is nginx.
  • Main joomla directory is at a different path.
  • Downloads directory path changed in edocman.

Are there any other hidden hard-coded paths I need to change? If not, any ideas?

Many thanks.

OK, I solved this! I realised it was not actually a problem with edocman at all (many apologies), but was actually to do with SEF URLs. Obviously joomla was expecting the apache mod_rewrite for SEF and not finding it on the new nginx server.

I disabled SEF and it works fine.

OK Mike

One thing is that you will need to change Documents Path config option in EDocman to the path on your new server. Otherwise, documents could not be downloaded in the frontend of your site !
