Sort documents by alphabet, or date?

Hi, How to I set the order that documents are displayed?
Some of my categories need the documents to be displayed in alphabetical order (DESC), and some need to be newest fiist.

Unfortunately, the ordering settings will affect all categories, We don't have option to allow settings ordering based on category

You can go to EDocman -> Configuration, look at Themes tab, find the config options below and change it to meet the ordering you need:

- Default sort option
- Default sort direction

May I ask whether this option may be available in the future?

I have 1,000 of documents in hundreds of categories. And the default order they should appear in varies widely.
