Files don't saved in folder

Hello
When I create a category, I want to create automatically a folder for the category. This works fine. Under the folder "edocman"

in the root edocman creates a subfolder. For example "deutsch", "french" and "italian".

Now, we tried to upload new files with the batch uploader for a category with a specific path. For example deutsch. But all files are uploaded only in the folder edocman.

How can I change this?
We use the version 1.6.3
