All questions about EDocman extension

Access Problem for Super Users was created by Andrew
I have User Groups and access levels set up similar to this:
_ Registered
___ Partners
_____ Technology Partners
_______ ABC Company
ABC Company is a child of Technology Partners, which is a child of Partners, which is a child of Registered.
I have an "ABC Company" category set up and have given ABC Company access to that category. This works as intended. Anyone who is a member of the ABC Company group can access the category. Perfect so far...
However, Super Users cannot access any of the specific user group categories. I tried everything imaginable and can't resolve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm using version 1.5.3 on Joomla 2.5.16.

First of all, I am sorry for being late on this support request. I missed this forum post completely

Back to the issue, before I check it further, could you please upgrade your site to latest version of EDocman ? 1.5.3 is an old version.
If after upgrading, the issue still there, please submit a support ticket sending us admin and FTP account of your site. We will check the settings on your site to see what's wrong and get it corrected.

Upgrading to 1.5.7 did the trick... I consider that a bug, no?

If you don't want to upgrade to any future releases of the extension, I will refund the money of your purchase (today). And you can keep using that version 1.5.7

This still isn't fixed. I thought it was, but apparently my super user account can see the documents/categories because I created them with that account. Any other super user in the system CANNOT gain access to the documents or categories.
The only workaround I can think of (aside from assigning all groups in the system to the super user) is to edit each access level and checking the box next to Super User, which I shouldn't have to do.
I was checking out the upgrade files and noticed that in the com_edocman controllers folder there are no category controllers included for update, but that's where the permissions aren't working. The initial view with folders does not show up at all. Could this be why it's still not working for me?
Please advise...
