Cannot get indexer to work

Hi,
I just purchased edocman and cannot get the indexer feature to work. I have read through the forum to know that my first attempt to use it with bulk upload is not possible, the files will not get indexed, I must purchase the full OS PDF Indexer to do that. Before I purchase that, I want to get it working with the simple one file upload. Here is what I have done:

• downloaded and installed joomdonation.com/free_downloads/plug_edocmanindexer.zip
• Under Extensions, enabled EDocman - Indexer plugin
• Under Plugins, selected EDocman - Indexer plugin, added pdf to File Extensions list
• Under Module Manager, created a new Edocman search module and placed in in a position on a page

I am uploading pdf's using New Document, upload file. When I enter a search term into the search field, I get no results even though I know the word is contained in the pdf file.

Am I missing something? Does the indexer work? Thanks.

Hi Robib

The indexer rely on a third party library to index the PDF content. Sometime, on some server, it doesn't work. Even it is permission issue.

So in this case, could you please submit a support ticket sending us admin and FTP account of your site. I will try to check, correct it and make it works for you.
