Document thumbnail customization by extension was created by Ryan Drewniak
I'm interested in adding/updating the default document thumbnails to accommodate more file extension types (ie. show a Microsoft Word Doc icon for a .docx file). Has anyone been able to make something like this work?

Hi Ryan
You just need to create a file called docx.png, copy it to components\com_edocman\assets\images\icons\32x32 folder and it will solve the issue. You can do the same for all other file types !

Will those additions/changes be overwritten with the next update, though?

No, it doesn't. When you install new version of the extension, the files are still there , so it won't be over-written.

Thanks Ryan. It will continue to be improved to be better from time to time, so please keep an eye on our website for the new version and new product.
Ah, if you have few minutes, maybe you can help me by giving my extension a 5 stars rating and a nice review at extensions.joomla.org/extensions/directo...tion/downloads/18008 to support my development.

Tuan
