Customisation of the module "Edocmans Documents"

Is there any way to customize the "Edocmans Documents" module. I need a module that only shows documents of a specific category. In addition I want to edit the design of the modul, so that the documents/files are shown in a small container without any information about the file type oder size. How can I do this?
