Want to display error msg instead of detail page

Hi,

I have individual documents set up with Public access so that they display on the front end to all users. However, the documents are listed in a category that has security applied so that they cannot download the document.

At the moment, the user clicks on the document and sees the document detail page with file name, file size, and last modified info. Is it possible to make it so that the user clicks on the document and sees the error message for EDOCMAN_NOT_ALLOWED, or something similar?

Hi Carly

Since you set the access field of the Document to public, all users will be able to view details information of that document and the system could not display any errors.

Maybe you can set access field of documents to Registered so that only registered/logged in users can login and see it?

I believe that we can customize the extension to make it works like that. But it will cost you 50$ for this customization.
