edocman search "all words"?? was created by ken adcock
First of all, I love the extension, so far. I am using it with a multiple file upload system, then using the bulk upload to integrate the files to documents. I used docman for years, but love the options your product has with respect to subcategories. I am running into a search problem, though. When I search, it works great as long as you use one keyword. I can get no results when I search multiple words. Is there a way to implement an all word search similar to the joomla search option?

Hi Ken
I think we can do it. Could you please explain more details about how you want it to work so that I can check and implement the feature for you ?
Regards,
Tuan

No need. I found a search program called Mijosearch that solves the problem. They have an extension for eDocman and it works great.

Just a word of warning about purchasing a Miwisoft extension - Mijosearch. Don't expect any support from this company whatsoever, and if, like me, you find that Mijosearch just doesn't work with the latest release of EDOCMAN then you'll be wasting your money. I'm in the process of trying to get a refund from PayPal as I've had zero response and they have removed their extensions from the Joomla Extensions Directory too, presumably because they are either end-of-life or people are complaining about the lack of support.

Hi Richard,
We will discuss about Edocman here, we won't mention to any other third party extensions. If you have any problem with Mijo extensions, please contact with them. I remind you again that Edocman is separated extension, and it doesn't need any third party extension to work along.
Thanks
Dam

Hi Tuan,
Unfortunately this issue is still present in eDocman Search module. Searches cannot be made by 'all of the words, anywhere in the document', they can only be made by the 'exact string of text' submitted.
Joomla Search module does have this capability but I wouldn't like to use it because you cannot filter the search by eDocman categories. And I definitely don't want to buy a thrid-party plugin from a company who is exploiting this lack of functionality.
Could you please have another look into this issue?
Thanks
