Hi Rolf

Yes. That feature is not not difficult to implement. However, I think it is not needed to put the field in Configuration setting. We can simply check if the indexer plugin enabled, we will show that field. That should work

For the search plugin, I believe that at the moment, the indexed_content field is used for searching already ?

Hi Tuan

Thank you for your reply...

When will the feature be available?

The search plugin search through the filed, bit the search results are different the the standard joomla contents. Please see the attached screenshot. Point 4. is a result from standard joomla content. The searched phrase is marked yellow and i see 2 lines of text. The points 5., 6. and 7 are found indexed documents. The 2 lines are not visible and the search phrase istnot marked.

Kindest regards

Rolf

Hello team,
I installed all Edocman plugin. If I create a new document and upload doc file, I see the text indexed in document manager and I find doc in search as well.
But, if I upload ant odf document, I do not see indexed in document manager and I cannot find it in search backend.
Doc file is indexed, but not pdf.
How can I solve?
Thank you so much!

Hello Dam, I changed permission of file: root -> plugins -> edocman -> indexer -> binaries -> linux -> pdftotext to rwx-rwx-rwx, I uploaded a new pdf but unfortunately I cannot index. Do you think I could check in PHP core function if popen is enabled?
