Front upload option

I know that maybe this is obvius..but i dont know how to permit some users to upload from the front end.
i was looking everywhere and i dont know where is this. (is a link??)

I need some persons TO UPLOAD DOCUMENTS IN AN SPECIFIC CATEGORY.

EDocman uses Joomla ACL for handling the permission. So if you want users to be able to upload documents from front-end :

1. Assign him to a Joomla Group .

2. Edit the category you want that usersto be able to upload document, look at Permissions tab, set "Create" permission for that Joomla group to be allowed.

After that, when users access to thecategory from front-end, he will see a link allow him to upload document.

Could you please follow the instructions above and give it a try ?

Hello to Everyone.

I am having the same problem to upload documents.
When I click on the Upload link beside the Category name it is redirect to the home page.
I am working with a Joomla 3.0.3, I created the Users for Admin and Super Admin, on the group Administrators, managers and Super Users. Giving complete permission ALLOWED (Not Inherent) and I can not make it work the Upload Link on the Front End.
Can you help me to solve this problem?

That's strange Art. Could you please submit a support ticket sending us administrator and FTP account of your site so that we can check the issue and get it sorted directly on your server ?

Hi Art

You might want to access to My Downloads menu item, see your order, download latest version and upgrade it to your site. I just made some modifications to the extension so that you can create a menu item to link to Upload Document page in EDocman and that make it easier for you. Could you please try ?

I don't want the Frontend 'Upload' button to appear at all. How can I completely disable it on the Frontend?

By default, the Upload link won't be displayed. What is the group of the user account you are logging in which you see Upload Links? Please let us know so that I can guide you to check it more details. Maybe you can submit a support ticket sending me administrator account of your site so that I can check the settings for you.
