Editing Edocman Search Module was created by IT Dept
Hi. How do I remove the category field from the edocman search module? I do not want users to see this field. I only want them to see the Keyword field. Thanks!

Hi
I remember I replied that question in the support ticket. I reply it here again incase someone has same question :
You will have to customize the code in the module to remove the category selection. Look at the file modules/mod_edocman_search/tmpl/default.php, you should be able to see the code and remove it

Thanks so much for the previous answer. That helped.
A general question I have, though, is how can I search for documents within a category.
Here's an example: I have a category called Apples. Under that category, I have documents called Fugi, Red Delicious, and Gala. If I type Apples in the search, I come up with absolutely nothing.
I know I can use the dropdown and find "Apples" but I also know that my users will not take the time to do that. They will simply type in "Apples" and expect to get all the documents listed under the Apples category.
Thanks!
